The Transition Begins

Friends,

Last week I sent an email informing you of the formation of my Transition Team. I am thrilled to report that we held a productive meeting yesterday in Columbia. We also had live video to a satellite meeting site in Charleston, as well as conference calls from members who were unable to attend in person. I shared the following with the team,

“I am excited and optimistic about the quality and determination of our team members. I am thankful for the extended time allowed for our discovery and we should always be mindful of our responsibilities to the people of South Carolina, not the few elites.”

After the team finished their introductions, we moved on to discuss our goals and the focus areas of each subcommittee. Upon conclusion of the meeting, each subcommittee decided to meet directly to begin brainstorming ideas. I could not be more pleased with the tenacity and work ethic that is being shown from day one.

This team is truly motivated, eager, and excited to begin our journey reforming South Carolina’s state government. By creating the most transparent and accountable Treasurer’s Office in America, we can eradicate fraud, waste, and abuse of taxpayer dollars. It is a daunting task, but it is essential to putting our state back on a path to success.

Be Well,

Curtis M. Loftis, Jr.

P.S. We would like to welcome Michael Smith as the Transition Team Secretary and Grant Reeves to the Budget & Control Board subcommittee.

Our victory came at a great personal expense. If you can, please help us pay off our campaign debt. You can donate online or make checks may be payable to:
